Baklava is a delicious oriental dessert made from filo paste, nuts and sweet syrup. This recipe is absolutely delicious and its preparation is simpler than you think. Follow these steps to achieve a delicious Baklava in no time:
Ingredients:
- 500g filo paste
- 250g of crushed nuts
- 250g of melted butter
- 250g sugar
- 250ml water
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (thermostat 6).
- Butter a rectangular dish in the oven.
- Mix the crushed nuts with the powdered cinnamon.
- Gently roll the filo paste on the worktop.
- Brush each sheet of melted butter filo paste with a brush.
- Have a first layer of buttered filo paste in the dish.
- Add some of the nut mixture to the first layer of filo paste.
- Repeat the operation by alternating the layers of filo paste and nuts until the ingredients are exhausted.
- Cut squares or diamond in the dish.
- Bake the Baklava for about 30 minutes until golden and crispy.
- During cooking, prepare the syrup: bring water, sugar and lemon juice to a boil in a saucepan.
- Simmer for a few minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Pour the hot syrup on the Baklava as soon as it comes out of the oven.
- Let cool before tasting.
