Why use a saucepan lid to refresh the sofa?

The sofa is a furniture often used extensively and can sometimes accumulate unpleasant odours. Using a pot lid to refresh the sofa is a simple and effective tip to remove bad smells and leave your couch as new.

How to proceed:

• Start by removing the cushions from the sofa and setting them aside.
• Take a pot lid large enough to cover the surface of the sofa.
• Fill the lid with baking soda. Soda bicarbonate is a natural deodorizer that will absorb odours and refresh the sofa fabric.
• Wrap the lid filled with baking soda in a clean towel to avoid spills.
• Place the lid on the sofa and let it work for at least a few hours, ideally overnight.
• Remove the lid and towel, then vacuum on the sofa to remove baking soda.
• Replace the cushions and enjoy your fresh and odourless sofa!

Additional tip:

For an even more efficient result, you can add a few drops of essential oil of your choice to the baking soda to pleasantly perfume your sofa.
